About Our Business
Haywood Smith started Mississippi Discount Drugs in 1969. He and his 2 partners,
Bob Parks and DL McLaurin added two locations in 1972 and another in 1987. For
over the next 30 years Mississippi Discount Drugs has serviced the communities of
Canton, Clinton, Hazlehurst and Madison.
In 1981 the Canton and Clinton locations moved into their present locations. The
additional size allowed the expansion of their product selection and services.
Mississippi Discount Drugs became the primary variety / drug store in the
community.
Mississippi Discount Drugs remains a destination for prescriptions, home health care,
durable medical equipment, compounded prescriptions and patient services. Over
the years we have added many services and new merchandise.
Our merchandise includes traditional variety products and the non-traditional
products. From Candy to Cards, Purses to Cologne, Jewelry to School Supplies,
Flowers to Pictures, Wall Decor' to Ornamental Concrete Statues, Mexican Iron to
Vases. From Pepsi to Coke, Water to Fluid Pills, Vitamins to Walkers, Canes to
Analgesic Rubs, Cough and Cold to Shaving Cream. From Hair Color to Glassware
and Diapers to Toothpaste. We take request for additional items everyday.
